N66 Batch Recovery Cost Model
Compare two filtration options using your own costs and trial data. Classify the batch volume as accepted output, unrecovered hold-up, other unrecovered or rejected liquid, and recoverable or reworkable liquid. Enter additional ingredient loss only when it is not already included in liquid value.
Initial cost inputs are zero and illustrate the formula only. This model supplies no ECPC price, recovery, service-life or savings estimate, and it does not decide whether output meets your process specification.
Calculation Basis
The four volumes must balance to feed volume; a relative tolerance of 1 × 10⁻¹² is used only for floating-point rounding, and accepted output must be at least 0.001 L. Numeric inputs and every calculated money amount must be finite and no greater than 1,000,000,000. Each cost component is rounded to two decimals before addition, with cost per accepted L shown to six decimals; disposal fees and rework treatment costs are outside this model.
- Cartridge cost = quantity × cartridge price.
- Labor cost = labor hours × shared labor rate.
- Shutdown cost = shutdown hours × shared shutdown rate.
- Liquid loss cost = (unrecovered hold-up + other unrecovered/rejected liquid) × shared liquid value.
- Recoverable or reworkable volume is recorded separately; no loss value or rework cost is inferred for it.
- Batch total = cartridge + labor + shutdown + liquid loss + additional ingredient loss cost.
- Cost per accepted L = batch total ÷ accepted output volume.
Ingredient recovery may need a separate assay even when collected volume appears normal. Check your analytical preparation method and avoid counting the same loss in both the liquid and ingredient fields.
