How We Work: PP Felt Bag Configuration for Existing Housings and New Duties
A bag that meets the specification for size may still perform poorly if the ring, sealing face, basket support and/or operating duty are not correct. For bag filters, we will consider the dimensional limits, media and the micron rating as part of the same configuration. The sealing contact and the housing will be part of the match as well.

Polypropylene felt filter bags are suitable for capturing a distribution of solids rather than one uniform particle size. In each process industry duty, the loading pattern and downstream requirement still shape the selection.
Published polypropylene compatibility tables are screening references, not a blanket approval for a process liquid. The phrase broad chemical compatibility is not enough to release an order. Our review covers the actual mixture, concentration, temperature, exposure duration and mechanical stress before PP is confirmed as the material choice.

Decreasing the micron number can be used to increase restriction. However, this does not always provide the best process outcome.
A smaller micron number may not be the correct choice when a finer nominal selection may actually load earlier, especially with a wide particle size distribution. Making this trade-off depends on the requirements of the downstream condition such as the flow, solids loading and the available filtration stages.

Parts We Supply: Construction and Ring Options for PP Felt Bags
Our filter bag cutting and sewing production scope supports the core bag body, while welding or bonding and assembly equipment is used where the approved product design requires it. We do not treat “sewn,” “welded” or a ring label as a performance guarantee by itself.
Polypropylene ring

PP felt is not always the best choice for every liquid, temperature or particle control application.
