Operating Limit Check
Differential pressure capability falls as temperature rises, so a cartridge that is safe at 20 °C can be over its limit at 70 °C. Enter your duty to see where it sits against the published limit of each ECOFILTRONE™ series.
Check Your Duty
Series and Operating Point
Published Limits
| Series | Max temperature | Max differential pressure |
|---|---|---|
| ECPAA, ECPAB, ECPAD, ECPVA, ECP, ECBTG, ECPTG, ECPT | 80 °C (176 °F) | 4.0 bar (58 psi) at 20 °C; 2.0 bar (29 psi) at 80 °C |
| ECPC nylon | 80 °C (176 °F) | 4.0 bar (58 psi) at 25 °C; 2.0 bar (29 psi) at 80 °C |
| ECPTFE | 100 °C (212 °F) | 5.2 bar (75 psi) at 20 °C; 2.4 bar (35 psi) at 80 °C |
How the Check Reads Your Duty
- Between the two published points the limit is read on a straight line; below the lower point the lower-point value applies.
- A duty at 80% of the limit or more is flagged as near the limit, so you can leave margin for a rising pressure drop.
- ECPTFE between 80 °C and 100 °C has no published pressure figure, so we confirm that limit for your duty in writing.
- The check covers 0 °C upward; the datasheet sent with your quote is the governing value.
