High-Temperature High-Flow Filtration at a Glance

THF is an active industrial liquid filtration product line. It is for buyers who need elevated-temperature construction without treating a single maximum value as a complete design approval. We support product selection, replacement matching, customized configuration, and sample validation based on operating data you provide.

Application review

We review the fluid composition, normal and maximum temperature, exposure time, viscosity, flow rate and allowable pressure drop before recommending a cartridge configuration.

Replacement matching

We compare the old part number, exact dimensions, end connection, o-ring or other seal, flow direction, and filter housing before stating that a proposed cartridge will fit.

Customized configuration

We confirm the media, structural components, length and document package against the application rather than transferring specifications from another high flow series.

Sample and trial support

We provide free samples with shipping paid by the buyer, accept trial orders and use sample feedback to resolve fit or operating questions before a custom production batch.

High-Temperature High-Flow Filtration Application

Inputs that control the recommendation

  • Fluid name, composition, concentration and contaminant profile
  • Normal, peak and cleaning temperature with exposure duration
  • Required system flow, fluid viscosity and available differential pressure
  • Target particle criterion and required filtration performance
  • Existing cartridge drawing, housing data, connection and seal material
  • Change-out objective, sample acceptance method and order quantity

High-Temperature Construction for Hot Process Liquids

The THF catalog states PBT and glass fiber as filter media choices with polyester used for the cage, core, end cap and support layers. These material names denote construction; they do not imply that the components will provide universal resistance to every hydrocarbon, solvent, acid, alkali or cleaning chemical.

Filter media

PBT and GF are the published media choices. Confirm the pleat geometry and selected medium against a defined particle target and rating basis.

Structural components

The catalog states polyester for the cage, core, end cap and support layers. A material name is not a substitute for confirmation of the seal, connection and complete wetted construction.

Temperature boundary

The 120°C catalog value is limited to one week. The trade-off between temperature exposure, pressure and material compatibility still requires an application review.

THF High-Temperature Construction for Hot Process Liquids

The Six-Input THF Operating Envelope

  • Temperature Normal, peak and cleaning temperatures.
  • Exposure Duration at each temperature, including the one-week 120°C boundary.
  • Pressure Clean and terminal differential pressure plus system transients.
  • Hydraulics Target flow rate and fluid viscosity at operational temperature.
  • Chemistry Fluid, concentration, additives and cleaning agents.
  • Fit Exact length, outside diameter, connection, seal, and flow direction, with housing clearance.

ISO 3968 treats differential pressure, flow and viscosity as connected test variables, while chemical-resistance methods depend on the tested reagent, concentration, temperature and exposure. We use those principles as review context, not as a claim that THF is certified or tested to those standards.

40-Inch and 60-Inch Cartridge Configurations

Use 40-inch and 60-inch nominal purchasing labels, and verify the metric length on the drawing. The two published 60-inch options are not interchangeable, and thus the 60-inch high flow filter term does not define a unique THF dimension.

40-Inch and 60-Inch Exact-Fit Matrix

Nominal family Published length Published filtration area Outside diameter Release condition
40-inch high flow filter cartridge 1026 mm 3.35 m² 152 mm Confirm connection, seal, flow direction and housing clearance
60-inch high flow filter cartridge 1524 mm 5 m² 152 mm Confirm the installed drawing before sample release
60-inch alternative length 1540 mm Not published for this length 152 mm Do not substitute for 1524 mm without exact-fit review

Nominal length is only the first filter

A similar replacement source also suggests exact style, dimensions and media are still to be verified. For liquid cartridges, flow direction, connection and seal, wetted materials and housing also need to be reviewed.

40-Inch and 60-Inch Cartridge Configurations

Fit fields still required from the installed system

  • End connection and adapter geometry
  • Seal type, material and location
  • Inside diameter or inlet geometry
  • Inside-to-outside or outside-to-inside flow direction
  • Housing seating depth and removal clearance
  • Installed part number, photos and drawing revision

THF Series Specifications and Fit Verification

There is no supporting evidence for the nominal, absolute or efficiency basis for the range of 0.5 to 20 µm. Making assumptions about high-flow category names as representing rated-flow results is incorrect. The table therefore separates published values from inputs that require an application review.

Specification Published THF value Interpretation for selection
Maximum temperature 120°C Catalog maximum limited to one week
Maximum differential pressure 4.0 bar at 80°C Separate limit; not validated at 120°C
Outside diameter 152 mm Verify housing seat and removal clearance
Published lengths 1026 / 1524 / 1540 mm Use exact metric length, not the nominal inch label alone
Filtration area 3.35 m² at 1026 mm; 5 m² at 1524 mm No area is published for the 1540 mm version
Micron range 0.5–20 µm Nominal/absolute basis, efficiency and dirt-holding capacity are not supplied
Media PBT or glass fiber Choose against fluid, contaminant and temperature data
Support construction Polyester cage, core, end cap and support layers Confirm the complete wetted configuration
Rated flow Not published Requires viscosity, flow and pressure-drop data

Bronze cost-planning card

No universal service-life, operating-cost or payback figure is published for THF. Compare quotes using the same fluid, flow rate, viscosity, clean and terminal differential pressure, change-out labor, disposal requirement, sample acceptance rule and document scope.

Factors that make two quotes non-comparable

  • Different exact lengths are found behind the same nominal 40” or 60” sizes.
  • Different micron-rating definitions or no stated efficiency basis
  • Different end connections, seals, flow direction or support construction
  • Different sample, inspection, certificate and freight scopes

Product Verification and Technical Documentation

We verify the order against the approved specification rather than relying on a product-family name alone. Dimensional, integrity, flow and filtration-performance checks are selected according to the product requirements; where a method-specific hydraulic result is requested, ISO 3968 is confirmed separately.

Product Verification and Technical Documentation

How we control the order

  • Technical confirmation: review the fluid, operating data, old part number, drawing and target filtration criterion.
  • Configuration Record: check media, dimensions, connection, seal, quantity, and documents, prior to production.
  • Production Follow-Up: track approved configuration through cartridge assembly and applicable inspection.
  • Release Review: check the agreed dimensional and performance items before packaging and shipping coordination.

Documents matched to the order

We provide technical datasheets, material certificates and compliance documents according to the exact product and application after verifying the actual certificate holder. The quotation identifies the document package available for the selected configuration.

Required method and certificate fields

When requesting a quote, provide needed test method and certificates. We confirm availability of the selected configuration and actual certificate holder prior to order confirmation.

Application Review and Replacement Matching

Mismatch risk increases because exact fit, fluid duty and acceptance evidence are separate decisions; selecting from a family name alone can point to the wrong material. For multi-brand part-number matching, use our high-flow filter cross-reference review; this THF page keeps the review centered on the installed drawing, six operating inputs, sample acceptance and order-specific documents, while ISO 3968 supplies method context rather than product certification.

Application Review and Replacement Matching Process
  • 01
Send the installed reference: provide an old cartridge number, drawing, photos, or measured dimensions.
  • 02
Add the operating duty: list fluid chemistry, temperature/time profile, flow, viscosity, pressure, and contaminant target.
  • 03
Review the proposed configuration: we return a written specification and quote within 24 hours when the required data is complete.
  • 04
Confirm the sample: use the approved fit and acceptance checks before releasing a larger custom order.
  • 05
Follow production and inspection: we coordinate the agreed technical record, inspection, packaging, and shipment.
  • 06
Review operating feedback: we assist with installation, compatibility questions and operating issues, including differential-pressure analysis, troubleshooting and configuration optimization.

Industrial Water and Process Filtration Applications

The THF catalog identifies benzene and toluene filtration as applications. The industries below are application-review contexts, not automatic chemical or performance approvals for one cartridge configuration; ISO 175 supplies method context for chemical-exposure review, not a universal compatibility claim.

Industrial water treatment

Review industrial water filtration and water filter selection for hot process water and pre-filtration duties using the actual fluid chemistry, viscosity and contaminant target.

RO and UF pretreatment

Confirm feedwater temperature, solids profile and housing fit when the cartridge is intended to protect downstream membranes.

Power generation

For condensate or auxiliary process duties, define temperature transients, pressure budget and required particle-removal basis.

Oil, gas and petrochemical

Identify the hydrocarbon, additives, concentration, exposure time and cleaning method prior to evaluating PBT, glass fiber and polyester construction.

Chemical processing

Separate material level resistance from complete cartridge compatibility, including support parts, seal and connection.

High-purity and regulated processes

Food and beverage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics and high purity water require application-specific documents and acceptance criteria.

THF Industrial Water and Process Filtration Applications

Anonymous Saudi Arabia sample-to-order sequence

The anonymous Saudi Arabia sequence began with a request for a 40-inch, 5 µm high-flow cartridge with polypropylene construction, a threaded connection and high-temperature-resistant support. The sample passed the buyer’s validation and led to a 300-piece production order.

  • What it proves: ECOFILTRONE can support specification review, a custom sample and staged release.
  • What it doesn’t prove: THF service life, improvement in pressure drop, cost reduction or equivalence to the buyer’s original cartridge.
  • Configuration boundary: this case used polypropylene, so it is process evidence rather than proof for the THF PBT/GF construction.

Engineering review note

Do not approve a nominal 60-inch match until exact length, connection, seal, flow direction and housing clearance are the same as the installed system.

Cases That Require Another Filter Configuration

A specification page should help you reject the wrong configuration early. The situations below need another product, additional test or more operating data before a purchase decision; ISO 16889 supplies method context when validated filtration performance is required.

Situation Why THF cannot be approved from this page Next action
Continuous operation at 120°C The catalog limits 120°C operation to one week Review another construction or obtain configuration-specific validation
Required rated flow or low pressure drop No THF flow curve or clean pressure-drop value is published Submit viscosity, flow and pressure data for sizing
Absolute or validated efficiency target The 0.5–20 µm range has no supplied efficiency basis Define the particle criterion and request a matching test basis
Aggressive or mixed chemistry Material names do not validate the complete cartridge Provide composition, concentration, temperature and exposure for compatibility review
Unknown housing or end connection Nominal length and outside diameter do not establish fit Measure the installed element or send a drawing/sample
Guaranteed service life or dirt holding No process-specific capacity or life result is published Set trial acceptance and change-out criteria under actual conditions
