Summary: High-Temperature Pleated Cartridges at a Glance
Selection Risk Alert
Selection risk: a 100-160°C headline can hide the pressure condition because the assembly, seal and test point set the usable boundary. ECOFILTRONE™ keeps temperature and pressure-at-temperature in separate fields.

High-Temperature Liquid and Gas Filtration Duties
ECOFILTRONE™ identifies the operating condition and recommends a filter element. Based on this, three processes and the corresponding elements have been defined.
Failure patterns the shortlist prevents
- A replacement element can be of the wrong kind, even if it is the same size as the element to be replaced.
- The highest permissible process temperature is stated on the element. This, however, does not define the process condition at which the temperature was measured.
- Charts showing the compatibility of process elements with respect to process conditions do not account for the process element seal and its condition.
Hot liquid particulate filtration
For benzene and toluene liquid service, THF uses PBT/glass-fiber filter media with polyester support components.
- Continuous temperature and process cycle
- Fluid composition and concentration
- Target particle range and cleanliness endpoint
- Flow rate and clean differential pressure
High-temperature PTFE/PFA processing
For services in fine chemicals, pharmaceutical processing, microtechnology and nanotechnology, ECTF uses PFA elements with hydrophobic PTFE membranes.
- Liquid or gas phase
- Pre-wetting plan for liquid duty
- PFA/PTFE, E-FKM or F-FKM seal review
- Product-specific document requirement
Vent and process-gas filtration
For venting, gas purification, compressed air and fermentation support at up to 100°C, ECPTFE pairs hydrophobic PTFE media with high-temperature polypropylene hardware.
- Gas composition and aerosol or particle challenge
- Dryness, condensation and drainage conditions
- Steam-in-place exposure sequence
- Downstream acceptance method
THF, ECTF and ECPTFE Series Selection
The matrix presents considerations for temperature, chemical compatibility, and process continuity, prior to evaluating media and elements. Three-Axis High-Temperature Cartridge Selection Matrix: the wrong choice creates a pressure, wetting or seal risk because THF, ECTF and ECPTFE are not interchangeable. Unlike a temperature-only product list, ECOFILTRONE™ compares phase, the 100-160°C assembly limit and the wetted construction for each buyer application.

Assembly-Limit Temperature Map
Process phase
State liquid, gas, vent or compressed-air duty first. A gas pore-size value is not a liquid retention guarantee.
Thermal and pressure point
Provide continuous temperature, peak exposure and differential pressure at operating flow. Do not pair a maximum temperature with a pressure value measured at a lower temperature.
Wetted assembly
Review media, support, end cap, core and seal against the actual chemistry. For solvents, include the site's bonding and earthing review.
Cartridge Construction, Seals And Connection Options
A replacement match begins with dimensions, but physical fit does not establish operating equivalence. For liquid filter cartridges, send the current model, drawing or photographs so the filter cage, filter core and housing interface can be checked with the material and process conditions.

Seal Decision Alert
Seal decision: a seal material that performs at ambient temperature may behave differently as temperature and chemical activity rise. ECOFILTRONE™ confirms the available seal route against the submitted duty rather than applying a blanket compatibility label.

Total-cost inputs without invented savings
- Cartridge unit cost and elements per housing
- Consider the difference between clean and terminal differential pressures at the designated flow rate to validate the cost basis.
- Observed run time under the same contaminant loading
- Changeout labor, disposal, downtime and lost-product exposure
- Documentation, inspection and replacement-validation cost

Replacement RFQ Checklist
Check whether the mechanical, process, performance and document fields are complete enough for a technical review.
Operating Boundaries and Alternative Selection Routes
A pleated element should not be evaluated solely on catalog number. There are a number of process conditions that require a different evaluation of filtration.
The catalog pressure point may be stated at a lower temperature than the maximum operating temperature.
Provide continuous and peak conditions; review cartridge and housing limits together.
Chemical compatibility does not address charge generation, bonding, earthing or transfer velocity.
Complete the site process-safety review before selecting the filtration assembly.
The membrane may require a compatible pre-wetting method and controlled start-up.
Define wetting fluid, sequence, rinse, hold time and acceptance test.
Pore size, nominal rating, absolute rating and gas challenge values are not automatically equivalent.
Specify the test method and outlet-quality endpoint needed for release.
Matching diameter and length does not confirm media, seal, flow direction, pressure or filtration performance.
Run the replacement checklist and a sample acceptance trial.
A pleated cartridge may load too quickly or transfer excessive changeout burden to the operator.
Review staged prefiltration, greater filtration area, a different cartridge format or a filter bag.

Fastest route:
attach a drawing or clear product photos, the operating-data sheet and the acceptance target. We can then route a 4-5 day stocked item, 7 day custom sample or 14 day custom batch.
FAQ: High Temperature Pleated Filter Cartridges
A matching diameter and length prove physical fit only, not operating equivalence. Confirm end connection, seal, flow direction, wetted materials, temperature, differential pressure and the acceptance test before release.
Start with phase, continuous temperature, peak exposure, differential pressure, chemical composition, wetting behavior and required test endpoint. ECTF and ECPTFE both use hydrophobic PTFE media, but their hardware, temperature limits and intended duties differ.
No. ECPTFE is listed with a 100°C maximum operating temperature and a separate SIP condition of 135°C for 30 minutes, up to 150 cycles.
Send the existing model, photographs or drawing, outside diameter, installed length, end connection, seal, flow direction, fluid or gas, temperature, pressure, flow rate, micron basis, quantity and document requirements. Start your replacement inquiry today.
The custom MOQ is 100 pieces, although trial orders are accepted subject to quotation. Custom batch production is scheduled in 14 days after technical confirmation, with 30% deposit and 70% balance before shipment by T/T.
ECTF lists PFA/PTFE, E-FKM and F-FKM seal options. Send the fluid, concentration, temperature, exposure time and cleaning sequence so the available option can be reviewed for the actual duty.
PBT construction can extend the selection range for some hot liquid duties, but replacement approval still depends on chemistry, support materials, seal, dimensions, flow and differential pressure. THF uses PBT/glass-fiber media with polyester structural components, a 152 mm outside diameter and 1026, 1524 or 1540 mm lengths. The catalog lists 3.35 m² of filtration area at 1026 mm and 5 m² at 1524 mm, so the selected length also changes the available area.
The ECTF catalog route covers compatible fine-chemical, pharmaceutical-process and microelectronics duties. ECPTFE is listed for process vents, gas purification, compressed air and fermentation support.
Not without the test basis. THF lists 0.5-20 µm, ECTF lists 30 nm through 5 µm options, and ECPTFE separates 0.22 µm liquid from 0.01 µm gas.
We return quotations within 24 hours on business days when the input set is complete. Standard samples are free with freight paid by the buyer; custom samples are scheduled in 7 days after technical confirmation. Contact us to receive a quote or sample.
